Floor Actions

The House third read and passed the following bills:

  • SB 68, which would authorize the issuance of subpoenas for the production of records by the General Assembly and establish new congressional districts.
  • HB 828, which would change the laws regarding prevailing wages.
  • HB 708, which would change the laws regarding violations of the public policy of Missouri when decisions are based on foreign law or legal code.
  • HB 1008, which would allow the Highways and Transportation Commission to enter into infrastructure improvement agreements to reimburse funds advanced for the benefit of a county, political subdivision, or private entity.
  • HB 661, which would change the laws regarding debt adjusters.
  • HJR 5, which would propose a constitutional amendment guaranteeing citizens the right to hunt, fish, trap, and harvest wildlife using traditionally approved devices or methods.
  • HB 656, which would change the laws regarding unsecured loans of $500 or less, commonly known as payday loans.
  • HCR 42, which would urge the United States Congress to prohibit the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating greenhouse gas emissions or to take action on climate change.

The House perfected the following bills:

  • HB 523, which would change the laws regarding the Missouri Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association Act, insurance coverage for portable electronics, and residential and home warranty service contracts.
  • HB 161, which would change the laws regarding certain transient guest taxes.
  • HB 600, 337 & 413, which would change the laws regarding public safety.
  • HB 366, which would change the laws regarding economic development.
  • HB 466, which would allow an employer or labor organization to obtain political contributions through a payroll deduction if the employee or member consents to the contribution in writing annually
  • HB 664, which would change the laws regarding infectious diseases incurred in the line of duty and the Firemen’s Retirement System of St. Louis.
  • HB 579, which would change the laws regarding health care.
  • HB 562, which would change the laws regarding the Missouri Children’s Services Commission and establish the Missouri Task Force on Prematurity and Infant Mortality.
  • HB 473, which would change the laws regarding charter schools and establish the Missouri Charter Public School Commission.

The House Truly Agreed and Finally Passed the following bill:

  • HB 14, which would appropriate money for supplemental purposes.
