Kelly Chairs Appropriations Hearing on Veterans’ Funding
Rep. Chris Kelly, Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee on Public Safety and Corrections, listens to testimony during the December 7 and December 8 hearings concerning the creation of a new gaming entrance fee to finance Missouri veterans programs.
Kelly told members of the Committee that he wants to hear a number of ideas on how to increase funding for state veterans’ programs.
Larry Kay, Veterans Commission Executive Director, said the commission needs $13.3 million dollars to keep veterans homes operating as they do now.
